What do you do with old uniforms after delivering a company rebrand? Learn how Zeal Futures and Warm Blankets for Everyone are transforming old uniforms into blankets, providing warmth to those in need. This meaningful initiative is making a real difference in the community!
Just before Christmas, I took several bags of our blankets to a contact, Rita Armanious, in Marrickville. She and 10 other volunteers help people in need through the Panayia Soumela Sydney organisation. While they have many and varied roles, the areas that they work with are for seniors in nursing homes, financially disadvantaged people and their families, people with chronic illness and those with disabilities.
Our blankets give warmth and comfort. This time they particularly focused on children’s blankets as well as the colourful and beautiful quilts we normally make. Their clients delight in the creative and bright patchwork and it provides a topic of conversation too. The Panayia Soumela Society were very appreciative of all our hard work and send a big thank you to WBFE.
